« Ragazze is an installation made a of sound slide show and photographs.
In a tangle of references to the anatomic pieces of Leonardo da Vinci, the anthropometries of Yves Klein or the works of Araki, Ragazze is also a sophisticated product about the new possibilities of digital technology. The use of sound, color, slide show and overexposure or underexposure of the photographic definition plays with the codes of a previous work, the painting of Modigliani, which becomes a true living picture. The confrontation of photographs on the wall and real life pictures on the screen reveals the options offered to the artist, either by freezing the instant or by recreating a true living picture.
Le Nu au Coussin Blanc, 1917, by Modigliani, a young lady lying on a sofa, is the source of the project. In the center of the installation, the model is gradually fading out of the picture, no longer being the object of the artist's desire and dream and becoming the free subject of her own reality. Ragazze is the visual tale of this liberation. Here we have the wolves, the sleeping body, the crossing of the mirror, canceling all links and magic for a renewed heart. The heroine is successively tied, freed, immersed into chiaroscuro, or saturated by color, a physical and sensual body which becomes a screen revealing the impalpable states of consciousness.»

« Ragazze une installation composée d'une boucle de vidéo sonore hybride et de photographies.
Traversé d’échos, des écorchés de Léonard de Vinci, aux anthropométries d’Yves Klein, aux travaux d’Araki, Ragazze est un travail poussé sur les nouvelles possibilités des technologies numériques. L’usage du son, de la couleur, de la surexposition ou de la sous exposition, de la définition photographique joue avec les codes d’une oeuvre ancienne, un tableau du peintre Modigliani, qui devient un visuel contemporain. La confrontation entre l’image fixe et celles mouvantes permet de figer, capturer l’instant ou recréer une réalité animée, faire un tableau vivant au sens propre du terme.
Le nu au coussin blanc, 1917, de Modigliani, une jeune femme sur un sofa est à l’origine du projet. Le modèle va peu à peu sortir du tableau, cesser d’être l’objet du désir et du rêve de l’artiste pour devenir le sujet libre d’une réalité choisie. Ragazze est le conte visuel de cette libération. On y trouve les loups, le corps endormi, le passage de l’autre côté du miroir, la libération des liens et des sortilèges et le cœur retrouvé. Le modèle y est successivement attaché, libéré, plongé dans la pénombre, saturé de couleur, corps anatomique et corps charnel. Le corps devient ainsi un écran où se révèlent physiquement les états de conscience les plus impalpables.»
